Hwang Hee, a physician-turned-digital healthcare expert, is the CEO of Kakao Healthcare, leading mobile-based health innovation and global expansion.

He previously held roles as a professor at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and VP at EMR firm EZCaretech. Since joining Kakao Healthcare in 2021, he has accelerated digital health initiatives, including the 2024 launch of PASTA, an AI-driven glucose management app now expanding to Japan and the U.S.

He also spearheads a federated-learning-based medical data platform with Google Cloud, partnering with 16 hospitals for clinical research and AI model development.

Recognized globally, he was named a HIMSS Asia Pacific Digital Health Leader (2019) and inducted into the APAC Healthcare IT Hall of Fame (2016). In 2024, he launched new services like KakaoTalk-based hospital booking and signed an MOU with AIA Life to strengthen insurer-healthcare collaboration.
