Byung-il Choi

Byung-il Choi is President of Trade Strategy & Innovation (TSI) Hub at BKL, Professor Emeritus at Ewha Womans University and Vice President of the UN Korean Association.

He is a former Dean of the Graduate School of International Studies at Ewha Womans University. A renowned expert in international trade, Prof. Choi served as Korea’s chief negotiator for the WTO telecom talks and contributed to the Korea-U.S. and Korea-EU telecom agreements.

He also served as President of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) and Korea Economic Research Institute (KERI). He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University and a B.A. in economics from Seoul National University.
